Chairs Supporting Statement

As Chair, I work closely with all the members of the organisation, especially our Trustees, Sponsors and International Representatives.

I have a determination and a passion to succeed in life and help those within hard to reach communities not as fortunate. My leadership style is reflective of this. I have from a very young age had a calling towards the blue light services, which would allow me to help people.

In addition to being a successful businessman, I am also the CEO of Dyslexia North East and a Community Safety Manager for the Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service.

It’s important to me to work within a charity organisation that not only carries out humanitarian work, but also focuses on self and organisational development; thus allowing opportunities for individuals and organisations to be masters in the realisation of their own destiny.

Everyone involved in IETUK, myself, the trustees and all the members have a long-term commitment, which utilises volunteerism and focuses on helping people, and the wider emergency management family build their own resilience through sharing and education, bringing about changes in systems, techniques and technology.

I founded IETUK in 2013 and feel that I have been instrumental in its positive development and expansion. Our success and development has been cautious but deliberate, in line with our resources and support network. This year (2018) is a milestone year, it will see IETUK transform into a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) operating in accordance with the Charities Commission.

All at IETUK look forward to many more successful years operating in multicultural societies, supporting diversity and delivering Humanitarian Services inline with our stated Aims and Objectives.
